Inkwell
Lawerenceville
What we liked: good specials selection, quiet working environment
What we didn't like: inconsistent drinks
This weekend, we tried Inkwell Coffee Shop in Lawrenceville, a nice local coffee shop with a quiet, chill ambiance for those coming in to work or relax.
The cafe only had one staff member working through a line, but we got our coffee pretty quickly. We ordered our lattes hot, but two were made iced, which was kinda disappointing. But the barista came outside and offered to remake them, so I think she went above and beyond.
The syrup selection was pretty limited, but each syrup was only 50 cents.
Good selection of both seasonal and year-round specials (three of each).
Big tea selection and a couple of pastries that looked pretty tasty, good atmosphere
Bonus points for comfortable couches, a chandelier, some outside seating, sick art, and a lovely library full of neat cookbooks.
Price was pretty average - about $6 per specialty latte.

What We Ordered:

Spiced Maple Latte
- Jeremey: tastes like a cinnamon Christmas cookie, could use more spice
- Monica: pretty basic flavor, not too interesting but a solid choice if you're looking for a classic flavor
Strawberry and Cream Cold Brew
- very subtle taste and not too sweet, not a very strong coffee taste
- Monica: I love when a coffee shop has a cold brew on the specials list, so I have to give major bonus points for that. Foam was delightful and creamy, just wish there was more flavor
Blueberry Muffin Latte
- very sweet and strong blueberry taste
- if you're not into sweet coffee, this is definitely not for you, but we thought it was really tasty
Coconut Hazelnut Latte
- overpowering taste of coconut, could not taste hazelnut whatsoever
- not gross but would not order again

Spiced Maple Latte v. Strawberry and Cream Cold Brew was a really controversial choice. Jeremey and Monica liked the cold brew more; Dani and Rachel liked the latte more.
