De Fer
Strip District
What we liked: abundant seating, interesting specials
What we didn't like: pricey, wall art
De Fer is an iconic coffee shop in the Strip District with ample seating and lovely open space. Very spacious but unfortunately industrial more than cozy. The atmosphere was fine, but the decor left something to be desired :( We weren't big fans of the wall art. However, we were very big fans of the mug (a crucial part of the drinking experience).
De Fer had a somewhat small but interesting specials menu. Some of their lattes were slightly lacking in flavor, but we generally thought their drinks were quite tasty, and we would definitely come back! They also have a nice selection of retail items, which were nice to browse as we waited for our drinks.

What We Ordered:

Lemon Bergamont Latte
- obviously a unique flavor profile - have you ever heard of bergamot in a latte before?
- very tasteful with an excellent level of herby citrusy flavor
Maple Cinnamon Latte
- simple but relatively solid
- both the maple and the cinnamon could have been stronger but tasty nonetheless
Cinnamon Toast Latte
- good level of sweetness but the level of flavor left something to be desired
Affogato
- super awesome!
- this was our first affogato (ever!), and we thought it was pretty great; it's not our dream drink but excellent quality of both ice cream and espresso
